Printmaking - Self Portraits with Lucinda Crimson

Learn simple printmaking techniques and how to create a self-portrait. Instead of drawing with a pencil, carve your drawing into a foam board to make a 2 colour print. Learn about contour drawing and how to get the proportions of the face. School of Puppetry Workshops

2016 will see Spare Parts present a series of brand new holiday workshops to stimulate young minds. In April the workshops will be inspired by the puppets that feature in The Little Prince, with 4-6 year olds working on Marionettes in a one-day workshop, and 7-12 year olds working on Bunraku puppets and performance skills in a two-day workshop. Each workshop booking includes a ticket to see The Little Prince, with the workshop group. One Day Workshops: Suitable for ages 4-6, this workshop runs from 9am - 2:15pm and includes a ticket to the 1pm performance of The Little Prince. Parents/guardians are welcome to purchase a ticket to see the show with the workshop group. Two Day Workshops: Suitable for ages 7-12, this workshop runs from 9am - 3pm for two consecutive days and includes a ticket to the 1pm performance of The Little Prince on the first day. On the second day workshop participants will be devising their own puppet shows using their hand made body puppets and we invite friends and family to come and see their show at 2:30pm.
