Lucky Oceans and the Gaelic Gumbo | Fenians Festival

"A fusion of Irish songs simmered in Louisiana Beats" Lucky Oceans is a double Grammy Award winning pedal steel guitarist and co-founder of Western Swing band Asleep at the Wheel. Lucky presented Australia's leading Radio National music show, The Planet, for 21 years. Lucky will put together a great line up of musicians to play for you in the idyllic beach side "Kelp Bar" at Kidogo Arthouse as the sun goes down.

Declan ORourke | Fenians Festival

Support Acts: Robert Zielinski Trio. Declan O’Rourke is a highly successful Irish singer songwriter, acclaimed by his peers. Declan’s soulful music, rooted in folk and tradition, has attracted the praise of countless industry giants.  The Robert Zielinksi Trio, is a Perth based traditional Irish music trio performing lively jigs, reels, highlands, hornpipes, strathspeys, traditional and contemporary songs.

Ceramics Slip Casting (9-12 years)

In this two day class learn the delicate art of slip casting, which entails creating a ceramic vessel by using liquid clay and a mould. Whilst waiting for the cast to dry, decorate a ready-made dish with colourful underglaze and texturing techniques. On day two decorate your own cast dish ready to be fired. Finish the class with two unique ceramic dishes to take home.

Contemporary Hand Stitching

For Teens. Join us for a creative and inspirational contemporary workshop, suitable for teens looking for new creative expression. We'll learn the art of 'Slow Stitching' to create some really unique and funky hand stitched artwork to hang on the wall. 

Funky T Shirt and Matching Bag

Design and decorate a t -shirt and bag using funky stencils, fabric paint and crayons. Go crazy with colour and pattern on fabric, then cut up and applique onto your t-shirt and matching bag. Please bring your own light-coloured t-shirt.

Bathers Beach Art Precinct

The Bathers Beach Art Precinct is part of the conservation and activation work around the historic Arthur Head area of Fremantle, Western Australia. The area is of historical significance for indigenous Australians and European settlement of Western Australia. The precinct is home to more than 20 established and highly respected sculptors, painters, photographers, Indigenous artists, a ceramic artist and designers, one of which is the famous sculptor Greg James who created the sculpture of the fisherman at Fishing Boat Harbour. Fly by Night Musicians Club

The Fly by Night Musicians' Club is a not for profit member based community arts organisation founded in 1986 by musicians' and music lovers. Fremantle Press

Fremantle Press is an independent not-for-profit publishing house renowned for producing books of high quality. Our publications include works by new and established Western Australian authors in the fields of poetry, literary fiction, non-fiction, creative non-fiction and children's literature. A key component of the Press' publishing program is our Indigenous titles list, which is highly regarded at a national and international level. Authors whose early books were published by Fremantle Press include Kim Scott, Sally Morgan, Craig Silvey, Gail Jones and many more.

J Shed Art Studio

The studio specialises in ceramic murals and it is run by Jenny Dawson. Jenny Dawson is a ceramic artist, public artist, designer, teacher, consultant and project co-ordinator. Jenny Dawson established the J Shed Art Studio in 1992 after completing residencies at the Hobart School of Art in Tasmania and at the Deruta Grazia Maiolica workshops in Italy. She runs a thriving studio situation that invites projects on a large scale.  Opening hours - Wed to Friday 12-4pm all other times by appointment

Jazz Fremantle Inc

Our main aim is to promote live jazz to the wider community and to this end we have provided a showcase for several community bands plus various school and community orchestras. We have a strong commitment to young musicians and have held fund- raisers to assist several to make overseas trips for advanced study and performance. Jazz Fremantle hosts a program of modern and mainstream jazz each Sunday afternoon (excluding long weekends) from 4 till 7pm at the Fremantle Navy Club. Level 2, 64 High Street Fremantle.

Kidogo Arthouse Fremantle

Kidogo is a living, bustling art centre. As well as having two busy galleries, Kidogo Arthouse is a popular venue for musicians, singer-songwriters, poets and authors to stage performances. Our art students will get to meet, observe, learn from and be involved in working along side professional artists in one of Perth's busiest art venues.
