Overview

Join us for a unique musical experience bringing together art and music as accomplished songwriters perform intimate, unplugged sets in FAC’s Main Gallery. With a diverse line up of local musicians including indie balladeer Peter Bibby, musical chameleon Todd Pickett, acclaimed blues guitarist Dave Brewer and legendary songwriter Paul McCarthy, this year’s Gallery Sessions will take place against a backdrop of Swimming; at least 8 points of view, a mesmerising projection that’s part of Matthew Ngui’s exhibition Every Point of View.

For over three decades blues guitarist Dave Brewer has been the backbone of many of Australia’s seminal acts including The Elks, The Dynamic Heptonics, The Mighty Reapers and The catholics, and has played with some of the most respected musicians on the planet.

Paul McCarthy has been a leading light in the WA music scene since coming to prominence as the songwriter for The Boys in the seventies and continues to be one of our most highly regarded solo performers.
