Learn how to create a beautiful circular weave to take home.

Playing with texture and composition participants will learn the secrets to warping up a non-traditional circular shaped loom. Incorporating a range of mixed media such as roving yarn, Australian wool and recycled fibres participants will get the chance to approach weaving in a new creative way.

This class is suitable for those with no experience weaving, and to those with an intermediate level understanding who want to expand their knowledge. This class is suited to young adults 12 years and above and adults.

This class is ideal for if you have attended a Sunday Weave before and want a new challenge.

* Each participant will take home their own wooden handloom. All tools, materials and morning tea will be provided. *

Date and time:

Saturday 4th November, 10:00am - 2:30pm

About Phoebe:

Phoebe Phillips was introduced to weaving by her mother who led a women’s craft group. She loves the meditative quality of weaving. She fits her craft practice around training to be a yoga teacher and working in a gallery.

Sunday Weaves is her idea of a perfect Sunday; it’s a space where she can slow down, drink good coffee, have a great conversation and immerse herself in a creative project.
