Bon Appa Tits Burlesque FRINGE WORLD 2019

Food and Entertainment with the art of tease that is burlesque. A messy extravaganza that will have you ever so excited about food. As you know, food can be sexy and this show is not for the faint-hearted. If it's some strawberries and cream, a sizzling sausage or sushi served on a body this cabaret burlesque show is going to have you fed and hungry. A sizzle of a burlesque show that has a huge element of audience participation that may include being fed by the dancers and feeding the dancers. In language spicy enough for a sailor, our MC will lay down the minimal ground rules for first-time attendees ("put your phone away ... and enjoy"), but mostly it's about having fun. "You can hoot, you can holler and even dance with the dancers on stage in some games and a tassel twirl-off."

Brodi Snook - Babe FRINGE WORLD 2019

Comedian and foot model (once sold photos of own toes to foot perverts for cash) Brodi Snook takes a break from tearing up the UK comedy circuit and having panic attacks in London train station toilets to return home to WA to debut her solo show. Expect laser-sharp writing and cerebral smart-arsery. Come along, babe.

Buzzy Beats - Guru Dudu's Silent Disco Walking Tours FRINGE WORLD 2019

Come and join the buzz... This year Guru Dudu and his Village People have teamed up with WA Museum and will be dancing around Northbridge and Fremantle to the theme of BUZZY BEATS - encouraging you to BEE YOURSELF. Everyone wears headphones (supplied) and can hear the hilarious commentary and the dance-mix of uplifting favourites from the 70's, 80's, 90's 00's. We make spontaneous flash-mobs around city icons, and will be learning some fun anecdotes about bees who have their own ways of making music and dance.Please come light-handed and wear comfortable dancing shoes. Colin Ebsworth - Ebz Dispenser FRINGE WORLD 2019

Electro City Ensemble: A Loop is As Good As a Rest FRINGE WORLD 2019

Weaving loops and samples with contemporary (electric guitar, synths, bass, drums) and traditional instruments (voice, violin, flute, piano, clarinet, bassoon), 'A Loop is as Good as a Rest' creates captivating music crisscrossing funky jazzy vibes through to lush layered soundscapes.  A collaboration of students and staff from St George's Anglican School, combining sampling, looping, instrumental performance, live electronics, and sound design: Electrocity Ensemble is surprising, enchanting, haunting, beautiful,edgy.Electrocity was formed out of a week-long cross-curricular workshop at the end of 2016. That initial workshop (like all our rehearsals) was a week of crazy, creative, experimentation and led to the formation of Electrocity as a permanent group.  Presented by:St George's Anglican Grammar School Music Department St George's Anglican Grammar School is a non-selective rapidly growing secondary school located in Perth’s CBD, founded 2015. Our students come from a wide range of socioeconomic, cultural and religious backgrounds. Our Music Department is deliberately “open”; the facilities and equipment freely available for students and staff to practice, play, create and learn from each other. Our starting point is music is something we DO, and we want our students to keep doing music, in whatever form that may take, into adulthood. Our Music Department is a community where everybody benefits from making music; it’s welcoming, vibrant, curious, democratic and creative.

Like all mums they are trapped in the game of Jumumji but to win they must brave teenagers, toilet training, pinterest, fancy housewives, husbands and plenty of hangovers. These mums are real and they screw things up on a regular basis, no matter how hard they try. Their stories of parenting failures remind audiences to have a long, hard laugh at themselves. A must see for anyone that is in a relationship or who has ever looked after a child. As for his lifelong battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Tim says, "I don't 'suffer' MS. It suffers me." Catch Tim's latest and best new show as it premieres in Perth. Hilarious, touching and wicked. This show is hell on wheels.

VIVIR Flamenco Guitar Dance FRINGE WORLD 2019

An evening of passion & rhythm by Flamenco guitarist Raul Mannola and dancer Aylin Eleonora. Each artist brings their vision, tradition, experimentation, freedom and improvisation into VIVIR, a fresh new interpretation of the ancient art of Flamenco. Direct from Spain.  Aylin Eleonora is a Flamenco dancer and freelance choreographer based in Madrid. She has studied with some of the greatest Flamenco masters, toured internationally as a soloist with acclaimed Flamenco artists, and premiered her solo choreography VIVIR at the Edinburgh Festival in 2018. She holds an MA in Dance from Barcelona Arts Institute.  Raúl Mannola is a Flamenco guitarist and composer with a background in Jazz, based in Madrid. He has 30 years of experience in accompanying Flamenco singers and dancers as well as performing solo. A specialist in Flamenco-Jazz-Rock fusions with 10 albums released as a leader, he has also been a guitar teacher at Madrid Conservatory since 2012.

Watering FRINGE WORLD 2019

Dance & Physical Theatre / Installation (WA) Through examining human tendencies to scramble for certainty and solid ground when we realise everything is in flux and continuous process, the work unravels questions about what it means to be intimate, repetitively unsettled and the notion of being in between or 'unfinished'. Presented by:Lauren Catellani and Fonder Physical Theatre Lauren Catellani is a dancer and choreographer based in Perth. She completed her training in 2017 at WAAPA, where she received her honours in dance as a member of Link Dance Company. She aims to create work that allows audiences to witness the art form of dance in an open, expansive structure with specific interest in the choreography of live bodies and inanimate objects. Her last work LEMONS was presented in FONDER physical theatre’s HERE.MOVING at FRINGE WORLD in 2018. FONDER Physical Theatre is an emerging performance company based in Perth. We love movement, honesty, and work that encourages self expression. Fonder is passionate about creating new platforms for dance and physical theatre, with a strong focus on demonstrating the strength and subtlety of the female experience.
