Tessa McOnie's latest body of work delves deeper into her exploration of individual spirituality within indigenous culture. The artist's griping and beautiful portraits of members of the Mowanjum Community serve to communicate a path between two cultures.
McOnie's engaging and immersive artworks are a powerful reminder that entire landscapes are revealed through portraiture. Mastering the art of figurative realism, the artist invites the audience to share intimate experiences of her subjects.
