We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the 96th voyage of the Japanese Peace Boat is coming to Fremantle Wednesday January 24th.

Join us as we welcome the Peace Boat with a Whadjuk Noongar smoking ceremony, Welcome To Country, dancers, music and much much more!

On board Peace Boat’s 96th voyage will be up to a thousand passengers, many from Japan, most notably including survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (hibakusha), as well as farmers from Fukushima.

Peace Boat’s key messages are peace, friendship, and remembrance of the implications of nuclear weapons and nuclear power.

The voyage joins with Nobel Peace Laureate ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons) in inviting Australia to sign the landmark 2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
