Port City Cycles - Rides

Our shop rides are on every Saturday morning and leave from the front of the shop.  We have 2 groups: First group: leaves at 6:30 am, 68 km loop, 34 - 37 km/h average Second group: leaves at 6:35 am, 45 km loop, 27 - 30 km/h average Both groups arrive back in Fremantle at approximately 8:30am and go for coffee afterwards at a designated coffee shop

Fabric Block Printing with Ruby Talbot-Dunn

Are you interested in learning about textiles and how to print onto fabric? In this workshop, local textile designer Ruby will teach you how to carve printing blocks and use them to transfer your designs onto material. Exploring colour, pattern, layering and composition this workshop will be a fun introduction into the endless possibilities of textile block printing. You will leave with a set of printed pillowcases and a tea towel, as well as the knowledge and confidence to work on more projects at home! All tools, materials and morning tea will be provided.

Extreme Knitting with Rachel Coolican from It's a Fine Day

Join Rachel from It’s a Fine Day for an afternoon of supersized knitting fun! Use the innovative felted merino yarn ‘K1S1’ created by Jacqui Fink and a giant pair of knitting needles to create your piece. You’ll learn the fundamentals of extreme knitting including how to cast on and off and basic garter stitch. Discover the therapeutic rhythm of this crazy craft, and make your own bed runner, small throw or scarf. All tools, materials and morning tea will be provided.

Hexagon Blankets with Tash Jones

Knit your own vintage inspired hexagon blanket by taking a traditional patchwork idea and translating it to knitting. Over two weekends you will complete a fun and colourful blanket knitted in a merino/cashmere yarn, locally hand dyed by Fishermans Rib.
