Learn to hand build and glaze your very own ceramic mugs with artist Sarana Haeata across two-weekend sessions.

In the first session, students will learn a slab technique to create the unique shape of their mugs. By the end of this session each student will have at least four cups ready for firing.

In the second session, Sarana will guide the group through glazing techniques that will best achieve each participant’s individual design.

Collect your mugs from Stackwood the following week ready for you to sip your morning coffee out of. This skill is easily transferable to your home space so you can keep creating!

All tools, materials and light morning tea will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring along their own aprons or borrow one of ours. This class gets messy!

Sarana is a ceramicist and illustrator who lives in the summery lands of Fremantle, WA. In 2014 she began her label Hang With Me Ceramics through which she creates handmade, bespoke planters and hanging pots.
